Hello I'm new to the tribe and very new to owning my own business. Prior Biz Dev Mgr at HP in Silicon Valley now gone
wind tunnel owner...
It's a totally cool, safe and INCREDIBLE business to experience human flight WITHOUT the danger of skydiving! Check us out at: www.iFlySFBay.com We fly everyone 3yrs to 93yrs!
Here's the question...how do I promote it in the internet space? MySpace? Google Ad's, Yahoo postings? Mass emails?
I am working on a limited budget (like everyone I know...) planning printed ads, news events for the launch, VIP tours, etc but am really not sure about what the "best practices" are for internet publicity?
Any ideas?
Thank you, Kent Sessions

Re: www.iFlySFBay.com global skydiving simulator - vertical windtunnel in the SF Bay Area
Fri, June 15, 2007 - 3:13 PMYou're the owner? I'm a skydiver and I got some info on a special introductory offer for an hour of tunnel time. I'd be stoked to pay $500 for an hour of tunnel time, but I wasn't sure how well the facility would suit my needs. Is this going to be an amusement park type attraction (Vegas) or a serious training facility with coaching and video available (Perris)? -

Re: www.iFlySFBay.com global skydiving simulator - vertical windtunnel in the SF Bay Area
Sun, July 1, 2007 - 1:48 AMHey Crystel,
Sorry so long to reply to you, but been really busy getting the tunnel ready. The tunnel is a SkyVenture.com tunnel, completely skydiver professional, military, and global skydiving teams use them all over the world. 10 in operation now, I should be the 11th.
We'll have the discount for another 2 weeks so if you are serious grab some time!
Thank you,
Kent -

Re: www.iFlySFBay.com global skydiving simulator - vertical windtunnel in the SF Bay Area
Thu, July 5, 2007 - 10:15 PMI just sent you a PM because I didn't see your response. I'll spread the word at my home DZ and the other Bay Area DZs and see if I can't get some fellow skydivers to commit as well. I'll try to drum up the cash myself as well. :)
I work in sales and marketing, and I'd love to get involved with promoting the wind tunnel (free help of course). Let me know if there's any way I can help. I can PM you phone number.
Talk to you soon,
Crystel
